Regional Sustainable Development Fellowship 2005-2007 (Rd I)
FutureWorks designed and managed a first of its kind program to train leaders from business-led civic organizations from across North America in cutting edge strategy and practice for regional sustainable development. The Regional Sustainable Development Fellowship, a joint partnership between FutureWorks and the American Chamber of Commerce Executives, with funding and support by the Ford Foundation, graduated 37 Fellows in the fall of 2007 and winter of 2008.
The 18-month program equipped high level leaders with new tools for regional strategy as well as built a deeper understanding of the full breadth of policy options for sustainable development. Participants included leaders from the Greater Washington Board of Trade, Greater Cleveland Partnership, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, Toronto Board of Trade, Louisville Inc, Allegheny Conference on Community Development, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Birmingham Regional Chamber, and the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, to name a few.
